How we think about this
Some monograms are fine. Others quietly spell something at age six on a class poster, at sixteen on a duffel bag, at sixty on a signed letter. We check the combinations parents have most often wished they'd thought of before the embroidery was already in.
The flag is just a heads-up, not a verdict. Some families wear an unusual monogram with pride. The point is that you get to decide knowing.

How does the flag list work?
A small curated set of monogram combinations parents have most often wished they'd caught before the embroidery was already in. The list is small on purpose. We're not trying to predict every embarrassment, just the most common ones.
Are my names stored anywhere?
No. The flagged-monogram list is bundled into the page at build time. Whatever you type into the form stays in your browser tab and goes nowhere else.
Why isn't a combination I'm worried about flagged?
We only flag combinations that consistently spell something a child would notice at school age. If yours isn't on the list, we didn't find it in the common-traps set. The point is a heads-up, not a verdict.
